The Woman’s Board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago hosts

The 62nd Annual Summer Ball: The Sky’s the Limit!

May 4, 2011 — (Chicago, IL) The Woman's Board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago (BGCC) will host its annual Summer Ball on Friday, May 20, 2011, at the Hilton Chicago. Featuring America's premier party band, Party on the Moon, this year's event promises to be a special evening celebrating the success of the organization and the youth that benefit from BGCC programming. Sponsors include Abbott Laboratories, Alberto Culver, Fortune Brands, Mr. and Mrs. Michael W. Ferro, Jr. /Merge Healthcare, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur H. Gantz, Illinois Tool Works, Kristen & Charlie Mills, Northern Trust, Anne & Chris Reyes, Southern Wine & Spirits, Mrs. Lisbeth C. Stiffel, Terlato Wine Group, United Airlines and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce White.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and silent auction, followed by dinner in the Grand Ballroom and dancing to Party on the Moon, America's premier dance that will provide a non-stop, three-hour party. The Grand Ballroom with be transformed by Ronsley with a décor that will reflect the energy of the evening.

During the cocktail reception, an exciting silent auction will feature prizes donated by some of Chicago's finest retailers, restaurants, and businesses including many unique and priceless sports tickets and travel. Packages include a trip for four to Napa Valley which includes private tours and tastings at Rutherford Hill Winery, Hanna Winery and Chimney Rock Winery as well as a one-week stay at Villa Escaiole in Tuscany. Items from Neiman Marcus Northbrook, Sidney Garber Fine Jewelry and Michael Kors will also be featured. The event's proceeds will support the important after-school programs and services offered at 16 Boys & Girls Club locations throughout the Chicago area.

The President of the Woman's Board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is Mrs. Michael W. Ferro, Jr. (Jacqueline). Co-Chairs of the 2011 Summer Ball are Mrs. Bruce A. Carbonari (Kathy) and Mrs. William A. Terlato (Debbie). Tables of ten are $6,000 and individual tickets are $600, dress is black-tie. This year's event would not be possible without the generous in-kind donations from Alberto Culver, Illinois Tool Works, Fortune Brands, Dalton Marketing Group, Luke Donald, Terlato Wine Group, Party on the Moon, Hilton Chicago and Ronsley.
